IL CORPO DOCENTI
Covers for the first three EPs from the upcoming Il Corpo Docenti 's new album.
The songs were written in early 2020, shortly after the release of their first album Povere Bestie ("Poor Beasts "), and develop a more melancholic and reflective approach.
Sottotitoli ("Subtitles") was the first to be released, and was supposed to set the mood for the following two covers. It's a song about restlessness and confusion.
FIRST PROPOSALS
We decided to use the second proposal's palette, and to shift the focus to the destination of the journey instead of the travel.
The band asked for an image in an open space, so we decided to dwell on the song's sentence "there's no other way ahead of us in this desert ": a fire burns and the stones shadows around it project infinite directions; they will all vanish when the fire goes out.

Entrambi ("Both of us ") is a song that develops around the theme of toxicity of an house in relation to a difficult domestic partnership.
FIRST PROPOSALS
We focused on the poppy, a flower that symbolizes trust, as a metaphor for something beautiful behind which a couple hides.
We also decided to use "Sottotitoli" 's frame as a fixed element of each cover.

Il migliore argomento ("The best topic") is a song about insecurity.
I thought it as a more evident behavior when contextualized in a group, and as a concern that leads to avoid confrontation.
I made a single proposal that was approved: a group of swallows in flight, among which one jumps into a cloud and exits another to fly away from the flock.
